A1 shut near Grantham after serious crash with delays expected until midday
Drivers in south Lincolnshire are being warned of significant disruption on the A1 after a serious collision in the early hours. National Highways said the road is closed between the A52 at Barrowby and the B6326 at Balderton, on the stretch serving Grantham and nearby villages. The incident was reported at about 2am, with police and other emergency services attending. Motorists are being advised to expect delays in the area. National Highways said the closure is likely to remain in place until around midday while investigation work is carried out. Lincolnshire Police has been contacted for further details.
