Director Shane Meadows Brings New Film Project Close to Lincolnshire Roots

Acclaimed film director Shane Meadows, best recognised for his seminal work on ‘This is England’, is set to revisit familiar grounds with his new comedy, ‘Chork’, which has started filming in East Marsh, Grimsby. This film venture comes almost 20 years since Meadows worked with Grimsby-native Thomas Turgoose, who received high praise for his acting in the critically hailed series. Although the filming site lies just beyond Lincolnshire, Meadows’ strong links to the area and its communities stir a sense of pride and motivation among local cinephiles and upcoming filmmakers from Lincolnshire.
