Human Remains Found Near Spilsby Identified as Missing Local Man

The remains discovered on a farm near Halten Holegate, in the vicinity of Spilsby, have been confirmed as those of the local man, Trevor Blanchard, 61, who went missing over two years ago. Mr Blanchard was last seen in the Spilsby area during June 2024, prompting thorough search operations which made use of drones, helicopters, and rescue dogs. Lincolnshire Police verified the identity of the remains which were found on 22 November and have since been in touch with Mr Blanchard’s family. In their statement, the police expressed their deepest condolences to the family of Trevor and all those who were acquainted with him during this challenging period.
