Lincoln City Secures Signing of Winger Oscar Thorn from Colchester United

Lincoln City has successfully secured the signing of 21-year-old winger, Oscar Thorn, from Colchester United for an undisclosed fee. Thorn has agreed a four-year deal with the League One side and has played five times for Colchester United in the current season.

Thorn’s football journey began in his youth with Arsenal, progressed to signing his first professional contract at Norwich City in 2021, and subsequently signing with Colchester in January 2023. The talented winger has also amassed experience during footballing spells at Bath City and Chelmsford City.

Commenting on the new recruit, Lincoln City’s head coach, Michael Skubala, expressed delight. He said, ‘We’re thrilled to have Oscar in our team now. His speed, physical strength, directness, and ability to carry the ball forward well, make him a valuable addition to our attack. His physical attributes align perfectly with what we envision for our team profile.’

In tonight’s match, Lincoln City will be playing against Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium. The second round League Cup match is set to kick-off at 19:45 BST.
