Man to Face Trial for Alleged Murder of Schoolgirl in Boston

A trial is slated for early next year, investigating the supposed murder of nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte in Boston, Lincolnshire. The heartbreaking incident involving young Lilia, who was fatally stabbed in the chest while engaging with a hula hoop outside her mother’s shop on Fountain Lane, occurred on 28 July 2022. The defendant, 26-year-old Deividas Skebas, who previously lived on Thorold Street in Boston, has refused the murder allegation. Upon his latest video-linked appearance in Lincoln Crown Court, the start of his trial was confirmed for 27 January and is projected to run for a maximum of 10 days.
